The 15 year old EA mentioned below has to be followed to the letter.
We are therefore again allowed only the 3 weekends in June to run the event
This includes the rain date.
We will do our best to put on an excellent event.

The 2006 event
was CANCELLED due to threat of lawsuit on the FS.....
if the EA mentioned below was not followed to the letter.

Despite the sky that is falling on the deer, owls, sensitive plants, fish, and
bugs that will only survive, an event like ours, for the 3 weeks in June.
Why was our event in June for so many
years?
The Forest
Service, in approximately 1994, adopted an Environmental Assessment (E.A.)
that allowed the event to be held on one of only three weekends a year.
The weekends were
the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th weekends of June.
The Forest Service approved the May date for 2003 and 2004.
April was the primary date prior to 1994.
The 2002 event
was postponed due to lack of interest....
not lack of interest to enter the event,
but lack of riders willing to spend some time working an event,
and helping to keep trails in good condition.
It takes a lot of work to keep trails open and set up a course.
Our club simply did not have enough help to get it done in 2002.
