Stanislaus National Forest Riding Areas
1. West end of riding area, lower elevation.
Take Highway 108 from the Modesto area to Sonora (1 hour).
Continue East on Highway 108 to Twain Harte.
Take South Fork rd to Italian Bar rd to Deer Creek staging
area (1/2 hour).
Trails are numbered and rated for rider skill level.
2. East end of riding area, and event staging area, higher elevation and can be closed for snow.
Take highway 108 East of Twain Harte (1/2 hour) to the Spring Gap turn off to the Left (North).
Go approx. 7 miles along 4N01 to the Crandall staging area, site of the Little Polecat Enduro.
Again, numbered and rated trails. You can ride between the two riding areas along several different routes.
Dry camping at both locations with seasonal closures for snow, owl, deer or flower protection.
....What about endangered motorcycle rider protection??
